Job Description

Mission Samriddhi is in the growth phase. Education, especially at the primary and middle school levels, in rural India needs as much assistance as possible. It is critical that the candidate has a firm grounding in schemes and infrastructure put in by Central and State Governments, and the large gaps that are left, inspite of these. Mission Samriddhi, in no way, wants to replace the efforts of Government, but rather to supplement them in meaningful ways. These are in the provision of reading facilities, improving capability of teaching staff, and overall adding greater emphasis of Panchayats and local governance in this critical area of our country’s development.

It is important that the incumbent is fully aware of what is happening in the field at all our locations, and is able to travel to our locations, interact with ground staff, teachers and students so that the best possible outcomes are achieved, and in our own small way try to build a groundswell of expectation about what we as Mission Samriddhi do, but also try our utmost to deal with the waves of despair and despondency that sometimes tries to overcome us and our nation. The incumbent will report into our Director – Education.

Salary would not be a major constraint for the right candidate, but we are looking at a ballpark figure in the range of Rs. 35,000 – Rs. 45,000 per month.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Catalyst for our Education Initiatives, you will work with our Director – Education to oversee the various initiatives currently in place, monitor their progress and feed the results back so that course corrections can be done in our overall strategy. As education is a part of our Community Development Framework, you will need to work with other executives who handle initiatives in livelihood or personal development and so on.

  • Post Graduation in Social Work / Social Sciences / Rural Development
