Key Roles/Responsibilities:
• The incumbent is expected to assess community needs and design and implement new community-centric public health interventions that are evidence-based and data-driven, in the fields of maternal, new-born, child & adolescent health and non-communicable diseases (Diabetes, Hypertension and Cancers), in such a way that the outcomes of these programs would lead to sustainable impact and can be scaled across geographies
• The incumbent is expected to look for and write successful grants and research proposals to be implemented in tribal districts
• Should be skilled to do field-level data analysis and draw meaningful inferences; Data-based intelligence is very critical to design new programs and interventions based on the beneficiary needs
• The role demands the person to travel to service delivery points to understand the public health needs, to provide evidence-based inputs and to train the staff in implementing new interventions
• Give feedback to Government authorities on policy changes based on the impact of the new programs and interventions being tested by Piramal Swasthya
• Engage with technology-based organizations to identify point of care devices that can enhance service delivery
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver successfully on governance related activities such as donor management, reporting on programs, and due diligence
Qualifications
• MBBS (Is a must)
• MD Community Medicine / Medicine / OBG / Pediatrics (preferred)
OR
• PhD in Public Health or Epidemiology
OR
• MPH (Experienced MPH candidates will also be considered)
Experience
• At least Seven years’ experience in the field of public health
Essential Skills
• Strong understanding of epidemiology and public health
• Ability to design community-centric programs
• Ability to carry out community-based research
• Ability to identify and engage with key stakeholders to forge strategic partnerships
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand the practical application of new evidences generated worldwide in terms of best practices in any of the service lines
• Strong data analytical skills
