Job Description

The job role of the Resource Mobilization and Communication Manager involves planning and implementation of the Resource Mobilization and Communication strategy which is critical for the functioning of Shaishav. He/She should be reporting directly to the Program Director of the organization and will be based in Bhavnagar. The person should be responsible for the overall relationship management with the external stakeholders which includes key donors and the internal leadership of Shaishav. He/She should be responsible in building the overall image of the organization in the external market

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a Resource Mobilization Strategy and execute the same

Conduct an environmental scan and provide donor intelligence (thematic orientations, modalities of engagement, entry points, forecasts etc.) to the Executive Director to increase probability of attracting funds

Spearhead proposal development efforts by ensuring efficient coordination with teams and the submission of high quality grant proposals in strategic priority themes nationwide

Monitor and maintain the proposal pipeline and generate monthly reports for management’s strategic decisions

Engage in organizational brand building including development of collateral materials to support fundraising efforts, such as brochures, concept notes etc.

Prepare periodic progress reports for different donors along with different program organizers

Maintain the donor database in place to ensure it is an up-to-date and dynamic document and share its contents systematically with the Director Program Support Unit and the Director Program.

Engage in donor relationship management to ensure donor retention and upgrades while capturing new development partners

Build the capacity of Shaishav staff, board and partners on resource mobilization, as required.

Networking with different like-minded organizations with which Shaishav can collaborate to share resources and make a collective impact.

Promoting Shaishav activities in social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Desired Qualification & Skills:

Post Graduate (in any stream) with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience preferably in a role which required communication as well as writing proposals and reports.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, networking and communication skills; with exceptional English language communication skills – both written and verbal.

Proven ability to conceptualize, innovate, plan and execute ideas, as well as to impart knowledge and teach skills;

Demonstrated engagement with diverse donors and development partners;

Strong self-motivation and innovative skills, with capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.

Candidates are expected to be proactive and take additional responsibilities on a need basis frequently
