Developing marketing materials such as brochures, pamphlets, or newsletters to promote the organization’s mission and services to potential donors
Monitoring program results to ensure that objectives are being met
Assisting with event planning, including developing invitations and registering guests
Conducting research on specific issues related to the organization’s mission
Coordinating administrative tasks such as answering phones and greeting visitors
Managing databases of donors, volunteers, board members, prospective board members, and other stakeholders
Handling general office administration tasks such as answering phones, filing documents, and ordering office supplies
Coordinating fundraising activities including soliciting donations from individuals and businesses in person or over the phone
Coordinating special events such as concerts or galas
Serve as the primary point of contact for programmatic inquiries, correspondence, and data requests
Assist with the planning and execution of programmatic events and meetings
Help to develop and maintain positive relationships with key partners and stakeholders
Support the creation and distribution of programmatic marketing and promotional materials
Conduct research on potential new programs and initiatives
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant trends and developments in the field
Prepare reports, presentations, and other programmatic documentation as needed
Provide administrative support to the programmatic team, including scheduling, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and invoicing
Help to manage programmatic budgets and track spending
Monitor programmatic outcomes and impact, and make recommendations for improvement
Serve as a resource to program participants, providing information and guidance as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field
1-2 years professional experience, preferably in program administration or a similar role
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field
3-5 years professional experience in program administration or a similar role
Experience with project management software, such as Basecamp or Asana
Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Kiswahili and any other UN language is desirable.
