The Coordinator for Livelihood will work closely with project teams to ensure implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of CS livelihood programming. The Coordinator will establish and strengthen collaborations within the community for enhancement of agriculture and livelihood of the people. She will also be responsible for keeping up to date on best practices in the field and disseminating relevant information to the project manager in Kolkata. This position will require lots of travelling and field work.
Position Objective
The Coordinator is responsible for supervision for all aspects of livelihood project in 20 villages of Nuaon among the poor Musahar and marginalized families with the overall objective of improving the livelihood and food security of the vulnerable population.
Major duties and responsibilities
1. Identification and selection of project beneficiaries
2. Formation of Self Help Groups
3. Coordination and distribution of livestock
4. Conducting central and village level trainings by identifying resource persons and organizations
5. Design and management of delivery of the better livelihood and agriculture program
6. Establishment and management of program indicators for monitoring and evaluation of project achievements against targets and providing detailed reporting to management, partners and donors
7. Establishing appropriate community managed micro-finance program to support livelihood and business development.
8. Ensuring that appropriate systems and methodologies for beneficiary accountability are in place including program monitoring tools and formats, and a complaints mechanism
9. Identification and development of partnerships with organizations, training institutions for trainings around small business development, micro-credit, financial planning etc and on inclusive approaches.
10. Timely report preparation and submission to Project Manager

Qualifications:
? Masters degree in MSW/ Agriculture, Livelihood or related field
? Minimum of 2-5 years’ work experience in rural development including program management, capacity building, and project design
? Minimum of 3 years’ experience in agriculture and livelihood programming with emphasis on livestock care and insurance, small enterprise development, micro-finance, business development services, and market linkages
? Experience in providing training
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Strong coordination and program management skills
Desirable:
? Strong writing and verbal skills in English, and local language as essential
? Ability to ride two wheeler is a must for this position
? Willingness to travel to field regularly
