Job Description

Mission Samriddhi is in the growth phase. Accounting is especially crucial so that we get know whether we are in effect putting our money and efforts where our mouth is. All our work is in rural India, and information flows that are the life-blood of accounting need to expedited and reinforced. It is critical that the candidate has a firm grounding in accounting practices and guidelines, including Ind AS as applicable to the social sector. On the other hand, Mission Samriddhi does encourage our partners in the field through loans and grants, and the devolution of these instruments needs to be adequately overseen.

While it is absolutely mandatory to be compliant with all relevant laws of the land, it is equally critical to examine various issues in the light of the legal framework, and determine the most optimum course of action. On the one hand, the candidate would, without doubt, be Mission Samriddhi’s fiscal watchdog, but also be the fulcrum for encouraging increasing financial commitments to our espoused objective of holistic rural development across our country.

It is important that the incumbent is fully aware of what is happening in the field at all our locations, and is able to travel to our locations, interact with ground staff, partners and communities so that the best possible outcomes are achieved, and properly accounted for. The incumbent will report into our Director – Finance and Administration.

Salary would not be a major constraint for the right candidate, but we are looking at a ballpark figure in the range of Rs. 40,000 – Rs. 50,000 per month.

Primary Responsibilities:

As a Catalyst for our initiatives across the country, you will work with our Director – Finance and Administration to oversee the various initiatives currently in place, monitor their progress and finasncvial commitment and position, and ensure that course corrections, if so required, are implemented.

Eligibility Criteria

.Requirements:

• Graduation in Commerce. An Inter in either CA or ICWA is preferred.
• Experience of 4 - 5 years, having experience of working in the social sector, and an understanding of the critical difference in this sector.
• Based upon directions, he or she should be able to set up the financial accounting processes for up to date recording and reconciliation of all financial data
• Ability to design, implement, generate appropriate financial MIS on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Should be well versed in Excel and Tally for financial data operations, management and controls. 
• Enable and execute travel and logistics for the team, as well as purchases.
