Role
The coordinator will be responsible for support in road safety implementation activities across Maharashtra. S/He is required to build and maintain relationships with key personnel at the Transport Department/ State Police/ Government offices and other stakeholders to garner necessary support for the successful execution of the program. The coordinator will work with high energy teams with diverse skill sets and engage with a wide range of stakeholders such as Government officials, NGOs, CSOs, media, etc. The coordinator will lead and carry out key risk factor surveys in Maharashtra. S/He will also keep track of current updates on road safety, collect information/data, analyze it and adopt strategies for proper execution of the project deliverables. The position is based at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Key responsibilities
Lead the development, planning and execution of advocacy activities locations across Maharashtra
Develop, manage and retain relationships at the highest levels within the Transport Department, State Police personnel, NGOs, CSOs, media fraternity, etc.
Ensure support for stakeholder consultation, capacity building workshop, road safety advocacy meetings, risk factor surveys, social media campaign, etc
Correspondence/official communication, seeking approvals from concerned department
Keep track of road crashes, laws/policies, officials Gazette, current updates, and any other significant incidents at National and State level
Represent Parisar at advocacy meetings, workshops, conference, etc.
Actively participate in organization initiatives to drive organization development, system, policies, and employee engagement, etc.
Identify need or opportunity and share ideas/best practices for activities with regard to road safety issues.
Any other assignments allocated by supervisor
Salary package:
Monthly salary would be Rs.45,000 per month. The project duration is 2 years.

Education and skills
Master's degree in social work/Transport Management equivalent programs from a top-tier institution preferred
Minimum 5 years or plus experience in project and partnership management
Experience of engaging with Government stakeholders preferred
Fluency in Marathi language. Hindi and English is desirable
Working experience in non-profit organizations is preferred
Proficiency in MS/Google tools (docs/spreadsheets/presentations).
