Job Description

The Gender Lab is a non-profit that works towards empowering adolescents and youth in urban and rural communities in India to question existing gender narratives through critical and meaningful engagement within their communities.


About the role: The Gender Lab is seeking to recruit an Accounts and Admin lead to support and strengthen the financial, accounting and administration system of the organization. This person will be working with our financial advisors on a regular basis and the City Lead of Mumbai.


Responsibilities:

Accounting related:

Coordinate with team members and be a point of contact for TGL team, management, vendors, employees and the financial advisors for accounts and admin related work.

Review the team's Data uploaded onto the ERP4 Impact software and help them wherever there are gaps.

Tally updates.

Preparing Invoices, preparing Payroll & Consultant file and generating Salary Slip

Reimbursement - checking, coordinating with them for changes, entry in tally and adding payment on tracker

Making the Bank Payments.

Coordination with the Bank where payments are stuck and for any other issues or submitting the KYC Documents.

Preparing monthly TDS payment and quarterly TDS return working and then making TDS Payment.

Sharing the Form 16 with Vendors and Employees.

Updating Donor details google sheet and follow up for pending details and collection

Maintaining proper filing for all the documents and supporting.

Preparing Professional Tax payment working for review and filing.


Administration related:

Liaising with different vendors.

Coordination for any paperwork related tasks

Making all logistical arrangements – Venue booking for meetings/conferences/workshops/training, travel (local and outstation) & accommodation for staff, visitors and consultants.

Supporting City Lead in maintenance and repairs of assets.

Support in managing the city office.


Qualifications and skills:

Minimum of 2 years of work experience in handling accounts and admin.

Preferable exposure to the social sector.

Technical skills:

Working Knowledge of Tally ERP 9, Google spreadsheets, Microsoft Office including Word and Excel & TDS Provision

Knowledge of Accounting and Admin policies and procedures

Pay attention to details and ability to work with different teams.

Transparency and accountability.


Joining month: February 2023

Position based in: Mumbai

Compensation: The salary would range between INR 2.4 lacs to 2.64 lacs per annum.
