1. About Society Against Violence In Education (SAVE):

The Society Against Violence in Education (SAVE) is an impartial, neutral and independent, non-profit organization exclusively focusing on the protection of the lives and dignity of students in educational institutions. We aim to assist the victims of ragging and facilitate its eradication from educational institutions through awareness, advocacy, research, and other avenues.

SAVE is bent on creating an environment where students can learn with fun and not with fear. By trying to eliminate violence and abuses among freshers, we are working on promoting peace and harmony among senior and junior students in academic institutions. For a decade and a half, SAVE has been tirelessly working to make educational institutions safe and friendly for students.

2. Role and Responsibilities:

A. Basic understanding of the RTI (Right to Information) Act

B. Filing RTI with the state and central institutions

C. Preparing Reports and drafting the RTI materials

D. Arranging webinars and facilitating awareness and fundraising campaigns

E. Assisting in social media campaign

F. Assisting in office works

G. Enrolling volunteers for the nationwide movement

H. Involving the management, faculties, students, and others (voluntarily) in the overall initiative

3. Area of work:

West Bengal (may be required to visit institutions anywhere in WB)

[Email/phone / postal communications need to be done in different parts of the country-(expenses to be borne by SAVE)]. The applicant should possess a personal computer and internet connection.

4. Qualification Required:

Graduation from any recognized university (other qualifications/diploma may be considered for exceptionally efficient candidates), Freshers may apply.

Desirable- Experience in fundraising

5. Languages and Skills:

A. English: Read, Write- Very Good; Bengali & Hindi: Speak and Understand Well

B. Excellent communication and networking skills

C. Good report writing skill

D. Good knowledge of MS Office

E. Working knowledge of Social networking (FB, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), Email (Gmail), and Blogging

F. Honest, hardworking, disciplined, and with an attitude to learn.

6. Compensation / Honorarium:

8K+ incentives (Max. 2K) may be considered, for exceptional performances, at the sole discretion of the organization.

Candidates who applied in December 2022, need not apply again.

7. Miscellaneous:

A. It may not be feasible to respond to each and every applicant. SAVE may contact only the shortlisted candidates for an interview.

B. No allowance (TA or otherwise) will be paid for the interview.

C. SAVE reserves the right to accept or to deny any candidature without assigning any reason to anyone whatsoever.

D. Decision of SAVE will be final and binding.

E. Dispute, if any, will be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi only.
