Job Title: Project Officer

Location: New Delhi, India (Travel to project locations as required)

Academic Qualifications: Degree in Sports management/ Business administration / Social development / Management or equivalent

Professional Experience:

-2-3 years of work experience in project management (essential)

-Sport for development sector (desirable)

Salary: Competitive; commensurate to qualifications and experience

Contract Duration: 1 year (Extendable)

Starting Date: 1st March 2023

Job Purpose

Responsible for leading/ supporting monitoring and evaluation, research and documentation, training and curriculum development and other functions relating to various sport and development projects.

Research & Evaluations

Assist in the different stages of research and evaluation projects, including but not limited to:

Desk research

-Data collection tools such as questionnaires, tests, interviews etc.

-On-ground data collection

-Data analysis

-Report writing

Program Documentation & Monitoring

-Assist in documentation and reporting for various sport for development projects

-Support in monitoring and evaluation for various sport for development projects

Training and Curriculum Development

-Assist in internal and external trainings and capacity building workshops relating to different sport for development projects

-Assist in sport for development curriculum designing and testing

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Training

• About Organization:Pro Sport Development (PSD) is a social enterprise set-up in 2013 by Suheil Tandon to work towards the vision of developing sport and empowering youth at the grassroots in India. It all started in late 2011, when Suheil returned to India from the UK, having completed a Masters in Sports Management from Loughborough University. With experience of coaching youth, his involvement in elite sport and his desire to develop sport at the grassroots in India, Suheil’s idea of a sports social enterprise in 2011 evolved into the setting up of PSD in 2013. PSD initially started with the aim of nurturing young sporting talent, especially amongst marginalized sections of society, where Suheil believes talent is abundant but opportunities are limited. However, he soon realized that sport has a much larger impact on children and youth than just their sporting development.
