About the organization- Kolkata Sanved (KS) is a women-led organization, working towards the empowerment of marginalized individuals, including survivors of gender-based violence, and at-risk children, youth and women, through the medium of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT) and other creative arts. KS is a pioneer in the field of DMT in the social development sector in India, through its creation of Sampoornata, a culturally contextualized approach to DMT, which has adapted global DMT principles to the Indian context. Sampoornata works for psychosocial rehabilitation of survivors of violence & marginalization, prevention of violence & promotion of mental health. KS’s model has focused on empowering individuals by bringing about a “change within”, and focuses on holistic well-being, including all aspects of the individual: physical, emotional, mental and social.
KS’s vision is to form a healthy, violence-free, gender-equal, creative society of empowered individuals. Our mission is to enhance gender equality and improve mental health and well-being of marginalized individuals and communities by building an ecosystem for Dance Movement Therapy for social development. We strive to create DMT practitioners, Associate’s and change-makers in the field, especially from vulnerable communities.

Job Responsibility and about the project:
Job Summary
The Project Associate is responsible for Assisting in Psycho-social Well-being Programs’ at the community level and Shelter Home, essential components of the Kolkata Sanved Programme.
In order to accomplish these responsibilities, this position provides innovative ideas on Kolkata Sanved’s methods for evidence gathering and impact measurement. In turn, this role is responsible for ensuring the quality implementation of DMT sessions with program participants plus the successful integration of DMT module based training programme at various levels including grass root contexts, schools, shelter homes, etc. Furthermore, key responsibility is mentoring DMT practitioners in the reporting process in order to strengthen their documentation skills, particularly as it relates to measuring mental health improvement. Extensive Travel is required as a function of the position.
The Project Associate is expected to work as a cooperative team member, providing support as necessary to both peers and subordinates; they are expected to assist with crisis management, exercising agility and shrewdness.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in psycho-social intervention program of Kolkata Sanved
Conduct DMT Wellbeing workshops
Associate, ideate and create curriculum
Part of Research and knowledge building
Programme monitoring
Document program progress, effectiveness, and potential for expansion with timeline preparation and tracking, data collection, case study documentation, and monthly program reporting
Be part of Emergency Response Team
Active participation in Kolkata Sanved awareness campaigns, representing the organization in local, national, and international contexts
Attend all necessary meetings: staff gatherings, reviews, capacity building, and project check-ins
Daily Tasks
Project oversight and Implementation of Program activities
Regular field visits to follow up with Survivors and their families
Conduct care provider training
Conduct baseline, midline and end line survey for tracking the wellbeing of survivors
Crisis management related to psycho-social intervention
Conduct DMT for wellness workshop
Data collection, consolidation, and analysis for Research &project reporting
Plan and facilitate project/team meetings related to project facilitation and outcomes
Capacity building of DMT practitioners
Communication with Partner and Stake Holder
Capacity Building:
The Project Associate is expected to attend all capacity building workshops for furtherance of Kolkata Sanved programme.
