Job Description

Institute for Cultural Research and Action (ICRA), Bangalore, Karnataka is a developmental Organization working with small and very small farmers in rainfed regions of Karnataka for the last 15 years. ICRA stands for the rights of marginal communities over natural resources and facilitates their empowerment through interventions mainly in natural resource management, bio-integrated farming systems, regeneration of fallow land, action research on agrarian crisis, publications (Kannada) and eco-marketing with an overarching framework of sustainable peoples Institutions and knowledge systems reinforced with peoples science.


Invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for the following posts


1)Administration & Accounts Candidate with a minimum of three years of experience in accounts. Responsible for accounting, preparation of half-yearly trial balance for audit, handling all statutory requirements and supporting administration as and when required. Familiar with the latest tally and other applications. Written and oral skills in Kannada are essential. Monthly compensation will be based on experience.

2) .

Prog associate- organic farming/Agro-ecology.

Responsibilities: Implementing the project on Integrated Farming System, Coordination and providing technical inputs, preparing and presenting scientific reports, developing training and communication materials.

Requirements- Sound understanding of rainfed farm eco-system, deep concern for small farmers’ graduate/post-graduate with 3 yrs experience in a similar or related field, basic computer literacy and knowledge of Kannada is essential.
