JD for Manager/Sr manager for JLG Engagement

Location-Karnataka , Base-Hubli. Karnataka

Position Name -Manager/Sr Manager(L3/L4)

Category-JLG Engagement and Economic Stability.

Reporting-Sr.Director

PURPOSE- Post Farmpond Construction, There is a Need of Close engagement with the Joint liability groups- Farmpond. Which Aiming to enhance, Three fold income level through proper JLG Engagement and guidance to the community. Bringing livelihood and economic development ideas for JLG.s  which results 100% repayment of Loan.

Vision: Construction of 100 Thousand Ponds by the year 2026 and engagement of farmers through the 12500 Joint liability groups to increase the income of 2x through the Agriculture interventions.

Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Development and Capacity building of 12500 JLGs. Developing the Criterias, policies and compliances to the community groups across the Farmpond Clusters/Villages.
  2. Setting the process for the review of 12500 JLG’s and System of Grading the groups and developing strategies to strengthening poor performed JLG’s.
  3. Analysis of JLG performance In terms of Income Generation and providing need based trainings/extension activities and building livelihood programs to boost the JLG economical Condition.
  4. Developing Business Plan for 2 years engagement of JLG’s and collaboration of different intervention of Farmpond program viz Technical, FPO, Livelihood etc to increase the income by 2x.
  5. Design, develop overall goals, strategies, plans &processes, execute livelihood/Income generated  activities based on the demand from the JLG(Joint Liability Group) farmers/Village to strengthening their Economic Stability and 100% repayment of loans.
  6. Provide technical assistance and capacity building on economic development and livelihood initiatives to project staff, implementing partners, stakeholders and others
  7. Demonstration of proven ideas in the JLGs. Experimenting of new Innovations/New ideas which connect as part of other source of income to the JLG farmer.
  8. Developing strategies on effective utilization of Farmpond water and fixing and educating Climate change issues with effective trainings and extension activities at group level.



Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience designing and implementing community level livelihood activities;
  • Minimum Masters’s degree in  economics, sociology, anthropology, international development, or a related field;
  • Proven ability to work across various ethnic groups and stakeholders 
  • Ready to relocate anywhere of service areas of Deshpande Foundation


Desired Candidate Profile

Post Graduation - MSW


Preference to Female candidate.
