Job Description

Overview of the Program

Even before the lockdown was announced, we pivoted into action to provide mental relief, meaningful engagement, resilience and continued learning to our children through the digital model of our Play2Learn Program, #ToybankPlay2LearnKit. In our support groups, we share two playsheets daily.

Characteristics of the kit:

  • Aligned with the children’s academic curriculum—NCERT, Diksha online learning app.
  • Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020— Play-based, activity-based and discovery-based.
  • Promoting Learning Outcomes

- Shape, colour, number and letter recognition

- Science, History, Geography and Environment

- Numerical and literacy skills

- Managing emotions and healthy habit building

We envision that children will continue to learn digitally even in the next academic year. In the meantime, the Program is currently looking to expand to the next phase of curriculum development for its physical program and find synergies between the digital and physical models of the program.


Instructional Design:

  • Design and develop a 2 year Play based curriculum using Toybank’s focus areas for the Play2Learn digital Program- Both Physical and Digital Models.
  • Independently create design documents that articulate how the learning solutions will be structured and how the objectives will be achieved.
  • Create blueprint, curriculum scope and sequence based on curriculum outcomes

Playsheet/ Play session design and development:

  • Design the playsheets/ Play sessions keeping the access and learning levels of the end user in mind
  • Develop engaging Playsheets for children for the entire duration of the Program (2 years)
  • Develop Play Sessions to be conducted by Program officers/ Teachers for the entire duration of the Program (2 years)

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Design and develop impact tools and measurement systems for the Program
  • Create impact reports
  • Revise Play Sessions/ Playsheets based on ongoing feedback from Program implementation.

Team Management:

  • Recruit 1 - 2 members on the team to help build the curriculum
  • Lead the team to complete committed outputs for the project

Training:

  • Design and develop trainings for the caregivers and work with the operations team to operationalize it
  • Create the framework for Teacher Capacity Building
  • Develop a Program Manual to be followed by Internal Staff and Program Partners

Support the operations of the Program:

  • Collaborate with the operations team and provide them tools necessary to be able to successfully execute the Program including but not limited to training, manuals and guidelines
  • Use the information on ground to make changes to the Program during the testing stage
