Job Description

The Asst. Manager’s primary responsibility is to draft reports, gather field data and document various activities and events. Also to support the various departments in the organisation. To also support the Communications team to develop and maintain an informative and positive brand image for Toybank by promoting its mission, services, programs, and projects both internally and externally through brand communication, mainstream and social media or media tools along with marketing initiatives, and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect information, document the activities and click sharp photos of Toybank’s work by regularly visiting the Play Centres.
  • Be present at Toybank’s events to take sound-bites, photos and videos of participants and supporters.
  • Collect case stories of Toybank’s work by talking to the Programme team, teachers and children.
  • Document all the collated information and photos in a way that it can be used for report and proposal writing.
  • Put together a readily available bank of stories, photos by certain categories that it can be used immediately.
  • Information to be collected keeping in mind the requirements of the Toybank website and social media updates.
  • Be the key point of contact for teams within Toybank to get updates, stories and photos for events.
  • Have a visual design sense in order to create some basic communication material.
  • Constantly look for what is happening globally in the area of play and share relevant information with the team.
  • Strategize and execute campaigns and projects for our digital platforms.
  • Write for our social media platforms and work with our graphic designer to create compelling and impactful content.
  • Monitor and analyse our success on our digital platforms.
  • Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant tools.
  • Work with the communications team, including brainstorming sessions, delegating tasks, reviewing team member work, adhering closely to deadlines, budgeting.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends; implement these in developing campaigns.
  • Identifying opportunities to engage with audiences through thought-leading social dialogue.
  • Ensure brand integrity across all digital content. Copywriting in the brands’ tone of voice and maintaining an authentic presence is necessary.
  • Keeping an eye on online forums, groups that our organization can be a part of.
  • Train team members from other departments to engage on our social media platforms.


Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communications;

3- 5 Years Experience in strategizing and executing for Communications, specifically in Digital Marketing

  • Experience in strategizing, managing and executing digital and social platforms;
  • experience in not-for-profit or philanthropy;
  • Proven ability to create compelling, results-driven digital campaigns
  • An in-depth understanding of digital marketing, content marketing, social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Blogger, YouTube), email marketing, digital marketing trends in the non-profit sector and in the mental health space.
  • Experience developing successful, multi-channel engagement campaigns.
