Job Description

The Program Manager is responsible for effectively managing the operations at Garima Greh : Transgender Shelter Home. They will be accountable for managing the team members, collaborating with various teams to manage holistic wellbeing of residents, achieving the goals of the various projects, coordinating with key stakeholders, tracking and reporting the progress to the senior management. The role requires the person to do the following tasks :

Track and Manage Operations: Should be able to report to senior leadership team for managing the day to day operations and track maintain online data for each project.

Manage Team Members: Lead the team members, resolve their day to day doubts, training and skilling of the Shelter Staff

Reporting: Track and report regular data on operations related to shelter home for effective decision making and management.

Documentation and Data Management: Should be able to document all the required data and reports, with use of excel, word, google sheets etc.

Relationship management: Manage relationships with various stakeholders like health care

experts, doctors, legal experts, and corporates and conduct advocacy sessions

Work timings – 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.

Requirements: The ideal senior manager is someone with

Passion to work for trans* empowerment

Responsible decision making, extremely patient and can work with various type of personalities.

Highly empathetic personality to deal with trans community issues and challenges

Previous experience in program management (7-8 years of prior experience required)

Previous experience in managing teams (Min 2 years of experience of leading a team)

Previous experience in social work/NGOs/ Development Sector

Strong leadership and commitment to work

Excellent communication and data handling skills

Preference will be given to candidates from the LGBTQIA community

Educational Requirement - Any Graduation would be preferred. Preferable Sociology or Social Work background

Location – Goregaon

Salary will be as per the experience and skills of the candidate : 4 - 6 LPA

TWEET especially focuses on the transmen community that faces extreme gender-based violence and has been highly invisibilized. TWEET is a completely trans-led organisation and as a pioneer in India, represents equal partnership among transmen & transwomen. The organisation came to an existence to support work specifically on issues that had not been addressed in other larger HIV or advocacy programmes in past in India. Resources for young trans people have been scarce and the real issues of the community from a social, psychological, economical standpoint have remained unaddressed.
