ONE COUNSELLOR (Preferably local) FOR TI PROJECT FOR FSW at Tarakeswar(Pin-712410), Hooghly-60KM from Howrah Station.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: The Counsellor should be a Post Graduate in Psychology or Social Work (MSW).

In case a person with above qualification is not available, candidate with following qualification and experience will be considered:

Graduate in Psychology or Social Work with minimum two years working experience in counselling or working with TIs/Adolescent Health Programme/Mental Health setting/ Substance Abuse or Drug dependence programme.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL: Familiarity with issues related to marginalised communities especially with HRGs and their families.

Strong communication and mobilisation skill.

Ability to work in small teams and flexible ways of working.

Proficiency in report writing, case study compilation.

At least 10 days in the field visit per month required.

Overall management capacity to monitor, report and guide the team under the candidate in absence of Project Manager or any other task provided by the team.

Consolidated Pay: 12000/-P.M.

• About Organization:Centre for Total Development (CTD) a rural based voluntary organization of Hooghly District, West Bengal was established in 1987 situated at Village:-Jigra, P.O:-Bahirkhand, Dist:-Hooghly, West Bengal, Pin No:-712405 under Society Registration Act, Govt of West Bengal, FCRA Registration, IT PAN, 12A+80G, TDS-(TAN), P.Tax Registration, PF Registration and NITI AYOG Registration. The organization was established under guidance of a veteran social worker Mr. M.G.Bhattacharya. The organization started walking by holding hands with Mr.Bhattacharyya who was in a leading point at that time. During initial years much could not be done due to paucity of fund except purchase of a plot of land, construction of a mud house, running a pre-school centre, running poultry and undertaking some awareness generation programs. Then the organization overcame the huge obstacles and unequal paths during its long journey.
