Name of the post: Assistant Community Mobilization Expert,

Vacancy–1 Project Location-WADMIP, Hooghly,

West Bengal Essential Qualification:Master’s degree in Sociology, Social work equivalentEfficiency in reading and writing of English, Bengali.Passionate to work in community-science

interfaceCapacity to organize and

mobilize communities

Experience:1-2 years experiences in community mobilization with a background on social development skills (participatory assessment, participatory planning etc.).

Experiences in working with a wide range of stakeholders, development agencies

and NGOs are necessary.

Scope of Work:Base line survey, Need of EPA if any,

Rapid Rural Appraisal (RRA) & Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) & Identification of Potential micro-watersheds/

Individual Schemes.

Formation & Nurturing of Water Users Associations (WUA) and FPO/FPG (as and when required), Orientation of WUA on land & water development plan preparation and Capacity Building of WUA for sustainable operation, maintenance and management of MI Schemes& helping with the field data in preparation of SDMP (Scheme Dev. Management Plan) by DPMU.

Implementation of Crop Planning, Land & Soil conservation by plantation, promoting horticulture/floriculture, waste land

intervention and fishery-relatedactivities as per instruction from DPMU.Conducting Training program of key functionaries of WUA, WUA& it’s beneficiaries on implementation of various project activities with the help of DPMU.Capacitated WUA / cluster of WUAs to a self-sustaining village institution through capacity building , likages, convergence, etc. with other line departments, SHGs, market linkage, etc.Baselinedata & other data uploading in the MIS.Different types of reporting according to Project needs.

Benefits:Gross Salary: 18,000-21,000, depending on qualification and experience.
