Bal Umang Drishya Sanstha (BUDS) (www.budsngo.org) is a registered, non-profit organization formed with the objective of advancing the well-being, education, health and welfare of children in India without discriminating against any caste, class, gender, ethnicity, and religion, rural or urban, physical or mental disability. BUDS was established in 2000 and was registered as an Indian Charitable Trust in 2003, with its office located in New Delhi. BUDS operates in urban slums of New Delhi and the rural parts of Mewat, Haryana to provide a variety of health and development support services to vulnerable children, youth and community members.


Program Manager Responsibilities


• Organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization.

• Developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization.

• Creating and managing long-term goals of the organization.

• Developing a budget and operating plan for the program.

• Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.

• Writing program funding proposals to guarantee uninterrupted delivery of services.

• Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.

• Ensuring goals are met in areas including donor satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance.

• Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.

• Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on services.

• Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.

• Analyzing program risks.

• Working on strategy with the program team.


Program Manager Requirements


• Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business, social work, communication or the social sciences.

• Proven experience in Routine Immunization (RI) program and/or experience of working in rural areas with marginalized communities.

• Proven stakeholder management skills.

• Proven experience managing a team.

• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks including data management.

• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Understanding of project management.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills in Hindi & English.


Qualification:


Post-graduation/ Graduation in Social Sciences, Communication, Management, Health, Rural Development or relevant stream.


Experience:


• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in Managing district level project with multi sectoral interventions.

• Experience of building and nurturing relationships with government and stakeholders


Skills and Competencies


• Understanding of the development sector and critical cross-cutting themes

• Possess leadership skill and is decisive, action-oriented and adaptable

• Strong networking and relationship-building skills

• Ability to work against tight timelines

• Good knowledge of MS office

• Fluency in verbal and written English, Hindi and local language


A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Selection Method set out in the Procurement Regulations.


The assignment is for a period of one year but there will be an option of extension subject to satisfactory performance.
