Job Description

Position: Documentation and Communications Associate


This position aims to execute TIF’s content strategy and implementation, which includes digital and traditional outreach, as well as media relations for the technical areas related to Prevention of gender-based violence, climate change and mental health.


Responsibilities


Develop technical content such as project proposals, reports, presentations, fact sheets, and promotional campaign social/media such as videos, project blog posts and other digital content.

• Assessment and analysis of researches and reports produced by other agencies on the thematic areas of the organisation.

• Documentation and preparation of field reports on projects and programs. Preparation of minutes and reports of meetings, events, seminars, conferences and workshops.

• Oversee TIF’s website, website content development, update and maintenance of the website.

• Dissemination of key activities, findings of the report, summary of events like seminar, conference, workshop etc. through multiple means of social media.

• Build a network of leading authorities from academics and non-academics field, and elicit their contribution/participation in the biannual event.

• Assist to execute strategies to achieve fundraising goals and, more broadly, TIF’s strategic goals.

• Hosting and setting up systems for virtual conferences

• Maintain an internal database of reports and publications.


Qualifications


• A strong interest in development sector, especially public health, climate change, issues related to women and girls and poverty alleviation.

• A bachelor’s degree in communications, advocacy and policy or related field such as Journalism.

• 2-3 years working experience in communications in non-profit sector is desired, but freshers may also apply.

• Must have excellent writing abilities and experience crafting messages for external audiences in English and Hindi.

• Has experience managing blogs, crafting newsletters, writing and editing social media, developing content for corporate magazines, fact sheets, and other external materials.

• Extreme attention to detail with an ability to catch errors and grammatical mistakes.

• Experience managing meetings (face to face and virtual) and planning editorial calendars.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Office 365.

• Able to juggle multiple competing deadlines

• Three references will be required.

• Selected candidates will be offered an honorarium of Rs 8000 to 12000 per month, depending on their skills and ability. T
