Work Responsibilities


- Work with the street vendors of city of and support them in the citywide implementation of the Street Vendors Act, 2014 through city level advocacy and media advocacy;

- Develop city level leadership and encourage vendors to create market associations and finally weave them all to form a Town Level Federation;

- Liaison with the Municipal Corporation, Police and other concerned authorities to put forth the demands and issues of the street vendors of the city

- Engagement with Town Vending Committee (TVC) and educating them about their duties, rights and responsibilities and provide support to them in keeping the TVC active

- Support access to PM-Svanidhi loan to Street Vendors.

Reporting

- Fellow must document their daily activities, Monthly reports.

- Fellow must attend the weekly review meetings wherein the progress, challenges and the future strategies will be discussed

Qualification & Skills:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience

- Any graduate or post graduate candidates with good communication skills, with a fluency in Telugu (reading and writing), English can apply.

- Basic Computer literacy & mobile literacy and working knowledge of Telugu and English are must.

- Open to work with the Street Vendors and there locations independently.

- Preference would be given to the female candidates.

- This is a field-based role. Only candidates open for field job should apply.
