Job Title: Research and MIS Coordinator

Purpose of Job: The Research and MIS Coordinator will lead Youth for Social Development (YSD)’s Research and Monitoring & Evaluation efforts at project and programme levels. Manage research activities including design questionnaire, sampling manage various survey work on ground, train the enumerators and research team and prepare the reports. The Management Information Systems (MIS) Coordinator works within a multi-layered role to document of planned activities, output and outcome of the MIS team at project and programme level to build monitor the progress and advancement of our objectives. The R & MIS Coordinator tracks MIS activities, monitoring and evaluation with the project activities and programs teams, facilitates meetings and events, provides calendaring support, and communicates assigned follow up duties through active note taking activities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage research activities including design questionnaire, sampling manage various survey work on ground, train the enumerators and research team and prepare the reports.

2. Support and guide the programme team in developing the monitoring and evaluation tools to assess the performance of different projects at all levels.

3. Assist data collection, project monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and reporting requirements.

4. Provide orientation and build capacities of the programme team to enable them to monitor and evaluate their own activities, gather relevant data and produce outcome oriented progress, activity and narrative reports.

5. Looking after, overseeing, and refreshing software systems especially in monitoring and evaluation.

6. Documenting and supporting Dashboard data location wise.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. Post graduate in social science and humanities. M.Phil. and Ph.D. is Preferable.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working on research projects and with MIS systems or other relevant experience required

3. Strong knowledge of development programmes, public schemes, local governance, vulnerable people, working with women, children, marginalised communities, people with disabilities and the Sustainable Development Goals.

4. Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Hindi.

5. Proficient in MS Office, database management systems.

6. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

7. Comfortable with travel if required to remote rural and tribal area.

Remuneration: The remuneration will remain between 30000-40000 INR per month consolidated with the applicants’ ability and experience.
