Job Description empowHER India is seeking to hire a candidate for the position of Program Head for Program Setu. The ideal applicant will possess the knowledge and skills to build strong linkages to promote and expand the Setu program in different rural villages. The candidate would help empowHER India grow and strengthen Setu by ensuring continuous ideation, adherence to proper protocols and innovation. Oversee the implementation of Setu which involves planning, mobilization, monitoring, team management and impact assessment. ? Responsible for the day to day functioning of the program. ? Ensure session delivery by the trainers is of excellent quality. ? Random field visits to assess the quality of the sessions.

Ensure that the teams conduct monthly interviews with girls, their families and communities to assess and review their situation. ? Ensure that monthly meetings with the ASHA workers, Anganwadi teachers and government functionaries are conducted with feedback. ? Work closely with the central team for regular update on the progress of the program. ? Resolve any issues that come up during the program. ? Regularly update oneself with knowledge and policy-related information on adolescents in India and worldwide, and develop an in-depth understanding of issues and practices related to it. ? Participate in developing/upgrading SOPs/ guidance note/ checklist wherever required to improve the program ? Develop a weekly and monthly action plan for Setu. ? Plan different activities on a timely basis. ? Promote tie-ups and partnerships with other NGOs, CBOs, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and government officials in charge of adolescent welfare in the area for the expansion of Setu. ? Ensures that relevant data and reports are analysed on a timely basis. ? Responsible for the capacity building and ‘train the trainer’ activities for the team. ? Help the organization to develop outreach materials including case studies, short clips, sessions, etc. specific to the program to create visibility. ? Liaise with partner organizations for organizing various events. ? Examine various national and international guidelines, documents, required for preparing technical and operational guidelines for adolescent girls. ? Performs other duties as assigned. • Responsible for the expansion of program. Qualifications ? Applicants must have a Master’s degree in either of the following: education, community development, social work, child psychology, social psychology along with experience in socio-economic development, policy analysis, and sociological research. ? Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the rural development sector, managing and implementing social behaviour-change programs. ? Demonstrated experience in working with adolescents at a village/community level. ? Demonstrated experience in conducting ToTs (Training of trainers) ? Experience of working with local bodies, officials of governments, representatives of other organizations working in the area, civil society organizations and various think-tanks. ? Experience in strengthening the state, district, block-level systems for adolescents and young adults would be an added advantage. ? Good verbal, reading and written communication skills in Marathi, Hindi and English languages.

Related experience in adolescent health systems, mental health, life skills, gender equality, etc. ? Demonstrated knowledge on current trends related to Behaviour change. ? Should demonstrate a deep belief in empowHER India's work and passion for the adolescents served. ? Proficient skills and experience using MS Office suite, statistical techniques, web-based applications are required. ? Should be a team player, collaborative and the one who promotes the success of others. ? Should be able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment with a growing team.
