Job Description

About the organization- Childhood Enhancement through Training and Action is a non-profit organization. Working since 2002 with street and working children in North India to break the vicious cycle of poverty and get them access to their basic human rights of protection, education, healthcare, participation and opportunities for a livelihood.

About the position- We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-driven Data & Research Coordinator to support the project team in the process of scaling the M&E System.


Ideal Candidate Profile

1.Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (preferably in Social Science, Social work)

2.At least 3 years of professional experience in the field of Monitoring and Evaluation

3.Knowledge of major quantitative & qualitative monitoring methodologies and proven ability to design monitoring instrumentation tools

4.Excellent coordination and communication skills gained through experience in the supervision of field staff

5.Broad experience in the design and implementation of capacity-building activities in M&E

6.High level of proficiency in Windows Excel and/ or Statistical Software (SPSS)

7.Advanced skills in data analysis presentation and report writing

8.Remuneration- 30-32K per month (It will be competitive and based on experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES :

.Develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems tools, and data collection for the organization. Ensure monitoring and evaluation data is analyzed to an appropriate standard and that results of analysis inform program decision making.

•Support program implementation team in developing project monitoring plans (PMPs) that detail M&E requirements for a project against set indicators.

•Coordinate the design and implementation of baseline surveys,end-term evaluation, KAP surveys, and other fieldassessment exercisesas well as other research projects contributing to the evaluation programme impact

•Make regular monitoring visits to project sites to conduct spot checks in order to validate and verify data collected by the staff.

•As per the child safeguarding policy ,no child should be harmed because of the project related activity or under any professional situation. It is mandatory for all the team members to follow the child safeguarding policy and also has to assure that it is followed by the rest of the team members as well across all the Chetna centres. 

•Disseminate data and reports internally and externally. Ensure high quality and timely preparation of M&E data for reports to donors, and partners.

•Contribute to the preparation of marketing materials and fundraising proposals.

•Ensure appropriate internal communication and feedback systems are in place and functioning so that M&E informs program planning and implementation.

•Review and refine existing M&E systems and tools to ensure programs are being monitored and evaluated effectively, efficiently, and in line with donor requirements.

•Develops proposal by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation; writing, revising, and editing drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials.

•Promote and strengthen the understanding of the importance of M&E within the program teams and the use and/or analysis of the M&E system during program design and implementation.

•Provide documentation on case studies and success stories.Other responsibilities

 •Contribute to organizational processes of learning and policy formulation.

 •Participate in internal meetings and communications.

 •Perform other duties and tasks, consistent with the skills and expertise, as required in non-routine circumstances.

•Any other duties as assigned by the Director time to time.
