Pragati, Koraput is a Non-Government Organization working in South Odisha for the socio-economic development of bottom of pyramid population in the sectors of Sustainable Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Climate Change Adaptation and Women Micro-Entrepreneurship. Pragati is currently hiring the following staff for implementation of programmes.

Coordinator, Livelihood:

The candidate should be willing to stay and work in the Nandapur Block areas of Koraput District.

Educational qualification:

Post Graduate or Graduate in Agriculture, Rural Development or in related field.

Experience: Fresh Agriculture Graduates/Post graduates will be given opportunity. For others at least one year experience in development/similar sector. The candidate should be willing to travel extensively for implementation of programmes in the Nandapur Block areas. The candidate should have driving licence and own vehicle.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mobilization of Farmers and Women SHGs/FPGs and their need assessment for

gainful engagement in millet promotion, value addition and market linkage.

2. Formation of youth men and women groups, develop their skills for leadership

and group management.

3. Basing on need assessment, implement agriculture interventions i.e. System

of Crop Intensification, model farms, seed village, development of irrigation

infrastructures, livestock rearing, micro-enterprises etc. under guidance of

Team Leader.

4. Facilitate for awareness generation and convergence with Government schemes

and other agencies for employment generation among youth.

5. Handholding support to CRPs and other stakeholders as needed

6. Prepare necessary MIS, documents and reports.

Salary: There will be a probation period of 3 months from the date of joining during which he/she will get consolidated salary of Rs 20,000. After successful completion of the probation period, he/she will be entitled to salary of Rs 24,750 along with EPF and other allowances.
