We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Counselor to join our Targeted Intervention Program in Amritsar. This vital role involves providing confidential and professional counseling services to individuals and groups within the target intervention community, with a focus on promoting mental health, emotional well-being, and personal development. As a Female Counselor, you will play a key role in supporting individuals facing specific challenges, contributing to their overall empowerment and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with a focus on addressing the unique needs and challenges faced by the target intervention community.

· Build a trusting and empathetic relationship with clients to create a safe environment for sharing and growth.

· Develop personalized treatment plans for each client, tailored to their specific goals and circumstances.

· Facilitate workshops and support groups to promote mental health awareness, emotional resilience, and life skills.

· Collaborate with other professionals within the program, such as social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

· Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress notes.

· Stay updated on the latest counseling techniques and resources relevant to the target intervention community.

· Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

MSW degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

· Relevant experience in providing counseling services, particularly within target intervention programs or similar contexts.

· Sensitivity to the cultural, social, and emotional needs of the community being served.

· Strong communication and active listening skills.

· Empathy, patience, and non-judgmental attitude.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

· Proficiency in local languages spoken in Punjabi, Hindi, and English is preferred.

· Knowledge of local resources and support services is a plus.

Subsequently, the organization has made their regular efforts to identify options and opportunities for expanding the development initiatives. these efforts resulted in success when we received first educational support from ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India under SARVA SHIKSHAN ABHIYAN programme in Palwal district of Haryana state in 2004.
