Job Description

A Mumbai based NGO, who is a partner of Atma, seeks a Volunteer Manager. We are looking for an individual who can help the organisation scale their impact by mobilising and engaging volunteers for various activities undertaken by the organisation. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster interest in volunteering across all levels within the organisation
• Establish necessary systems and processes for managing the volunteering vertical
• Create and identify volunteering opportunities
• Coordinate with stakeholders within and outside the organisation (e.g., collaborate with internal teams to engage CSR/corporate employees, college students in volunteering)
• Develop and implement tailored volunteer journeys to curate enriching volunteer experiences, fostering personal growth and meaningful engagement.
• Source and manage volunteers
• Plan and execute volunteering projects
• Track volunteer data and report volunteer numbers and hours, while documenting lessons learned
• Provide periodic reports to the Manager
• Devote time and effort to training and upskilling

Eligibility Criteria

Specific Role-Related Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• Volunteering experience is required
• Willingness to be located in Mumbai and the ability to work from the office location, including travel
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Spreadsheets, PowerPoint, etc.
• Excellent coordination skills
• Problem-solving approach
• Candidates should be open to working on weekends (with a weekday off) as a significant amount of volunteering is likely to take place on weekends
• Experience with remote/virtual working and willingness to travel for meetings and organizational events/programs
