Key Responsibilities:
1.) Evidence Generation: Establish connections and collaborations with government agencies, NGOs, donors, and media to identify key priorities in the public healthcare sector. Facilitate partnerships between Sankala Foundation and healthcare experts to initiate research projects that address critical public health issues.
2.) Evidence Synthesis and Dissemination: Create informative and engaging policy materials, including presentations and concise summaries of research findings in the public healthcare sector. Produce clear, accessible, and non-technical reports and documents that communicate research outcomes effectively. Represent Sankala Foundation at policy-oriented events and meetings, presenting evidence to inform healthcare policy decisions.
3.) Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders in the government, non-profit organizations, foundations, and international aid agencies, focusing on public healthcare.
4.) Cross-Vertical Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-vertical collaboration initiatives, including providing support to ongoing research projects and contributing to internal staff capacity-building activities.
5.) Support to Special Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to strategic endeavors at Sankala for Training and Internship programmes aimed at harnessing leadership and skill training for young professionals interested in working at the intersection of climate change and healthcare.
Qualifications:
1.) Education: Master's degree, preferably in public health; healthcare economics, digital health, public policy or medicine. A strong technical understanding of primary healthcare delivery and role of digital intervention in the sector is essential. M.Phil/Ph.D. in Public Health/ Medicine or a related field, plus relevant publications in public health research is preferred.
2.) Experience: A minimum of three years of relevant experience in addition to a relevant Master's degree. Experience working with government agencies and international organizations is an advantage.
3.) Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication skills, including precise, non-technical writing and creative presentation. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously, meet deadlines, and pay high attention to detail. Strong interest in international development policy, South Asia development, and/or program evaluation.
4.) Language: Fluency in English (written and oral).
