Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Finance & Accounting:

- Perform basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks using Tally or other accounting software

- Maintain accurate financial records, including grants, donations, expenses, invoices, and receipts

- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports

- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes

- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring compliance with non-profit financial reporting standards

- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures

2. Office Administration:

- Manage office supplies, equipment, and maintenance, ensuring a well-organized and functional work environment.

- Coordinate office events and meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation.

- Assist in onboarding new employees by providing administrative support.

3. Procurement:

- Assist in procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor negotiations, and purchasing of goods and services

- Maintain a record of procurement transactions and vendor contracts and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures

4. General Responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to various departments and assist with special projects as assigned by management

- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial and administrative processes

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and organizational information

- Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices in finance, administration, and procurement


Eligibility Criteria

ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field

- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, and administrative roles, preferably in the Non-profit sector

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and Microsoft Office Suite

- Familiarity with Non-profit financial reporting and grant compliance

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills

- Working knowledge of FCRA is added advantage

- Understanding of the taxation related to the non-profits

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management

- Knowledge of procurement practices and vendor management

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Commitment to the organization's mission and values
