Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Adolescent Parenting Content Developer and Curriculum Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging, informative, and evidence-based content, learning materials, and modules focused on adolescent parenting.


The position is based in Mumbai. The selected candidate might have to travel locally within Mumbai city or Navi Mumbai to engage with participants including adolescents, youth, community stakeholders and parents. Researcher will work closely with a senior Principal Investigator and for a leading organization in education.


This is a 3-month assignment. Person can choose to work full time or part time. Depending on that appropriate tasks will be assigned.



The responsibilities could include the following:


1. Content Development: Research and gather information on the latest trends, research, and best practices in adolescent health, education, security and safety, and communication with parents and within families. Create high-quality written and multimedia content, including articles, guides, videos, and interactive materials, tailored to parents of adolescents. Develop content that addresses physical health, mental health, education, safety, and security and communication aspects of parenting adolescents.



2. Curriculum Design: Design comprehensive and structured learning modules that cover various aspects of parenting of adolescents. Develop age-appropriate games, activities, and exercises to make learning engaging and interactive for the parents and for entire family. Ensure that the curriculum aligns with evidence-based practices and addresses the unique needs of both parents and adolescents.


3. Needs Assessment: Use available data or conduct rapid needs assessments to identify the specific knowledge and skills gaps of parents of adolescents. Use data-driven insights to tailor content and curriculum to meet the needs of the target audience effectively.


4. Collaboration: Collaborate with subject matter experts, psychologists, educators, and other professionals to ensure content accuracy and relevance. Work closely with the design and multimedia teams to integrate various media formats into the curriculum.


5. Quality Assurance: Review and edit content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with educational goals. Continuously update and improve materials based on user feedback and emerging research.


6. Evaluation and Assessment:Develop assessment tools and quizzes to measure parents' understanding and progress. Analyze assessment results to refine and enhance content and curriculum.


7. Community Engagement: Engage with parents, caregivers, and community organizations to gather insights and feedback. Attend relevant workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay informed about parenting and adolescent development trends.



Educational Qualifications and Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, instructional design, education, or any of the social-behavioral sciences (including psychology, sociology, anthropology, social work, public health, among other related disciplines). A master’s degree will be preferred. Bachelors degree with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.


Proven experience in content development and curriculum design, particularly in the field of parenting and adolescent development, teaching and learning methods.

Kapila Khandvala College of Education (SES-KKCE) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). This partnership project aims to understand the last-mile barriers, perceptions, perspectives of multiple stakeholders on parenting of adolescents; capacity assessment and opportunities in form of existing skills and platforms across multiple flagship programs to roll out the adolescent parenting program. The project uses the human centred design approach to test prototypes and subsequently support any large scale roll-out of the program. The project is dedicated to empowering parents with the knowledge and skills they need to support the healthy development of adolescents.
