Job Responsibilities:
Supervise and maintain financial and administrative records and monitoring systems to record and reconcile expenditures, balances, payments, statements and other data for day-to-day transactions and reports
Administrative support to the management programme including administration of budgets
Support to the project team in Accounting, Administrative and Financial Matters
Active support to resource mobilization, and partnerships
Prepare analytical report on Budget and Expenditure on a regular basis
Maintenance of the internal expenditures control system
Work closely with the grant management team for the programme budget; work plan, grants disbursement and audit.
Overall responsible for maintaining the books of accounts for the programme in National/State/s and manage day today transactions.
Recording of all transactions in computer-based accounting system (Tally) in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and ensure proper documentation of all transactions; and maintain files of all supporting documentation for accounting entries.
Ensure timely payment of payment requests from vendors, etc. in connection with all programme related activities
Overall responsible for the monthly bank reconciliation and advance settlement.
Ensure timely deduction of various taxes and timely deposit with the Government authorities
Facilitation of information flow, coordination of schedule and other logistic arrangements
Lead the preparation and organization of meetings, workshops, outreach activities etc.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and participate in budget analysis and projections as required,
Supervise the finance assistant and project associate
Perform any other duties assigned by the project manager and project lead
Qualification & Experience:
Master in Commerce with at least 4-5 years of experience in the accounting field
At least 4 years’ relevant experience in an NGO or health sector. The criteria for selection will be relaxed for members from PLHIV or key population group with relevant experience and calibre and final decision lies with the interview panel
Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and other accounting tools.
Demonstrated experience in compliance with statutory and contractual requirements.
Demonstrated experience of onward granting in the non-profit sector
Strong analytical skills, and the ability to synthesise complex concepts and to communicate them effectively
Experience managing finance and administration operations and reporting functions.
Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Ability and willingness to undertake extensive travel; primarily within the State/s
Fluent in English and Hindi (other local language)
Remuneration: 6.00 to 7.20 Lakhs per annum
NOTES: 1) The candidate living with HIV and affected by HIV/AIDS would be given the preference if S/he fulfil the criteria as per JD for specific position.
