About Inshakti Foundation

InShakti Foundation formerly known as (Gras Skills Foundation) was founded by alumni of the Indian Institute of Management, Kolkata in 2015. It has since provided vocational training and placement to candidates across India. GRAS has executed training schemes of the state and central government as well as CSR-funded initiatives with an aim to empower the unemployed of the country.


About Role

A confident, dynamic, and competent candidate who can work with underprivileged communities on the ground. Comfortable working in the field and with multi-stakeholders. A candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Must be adaptable, self-motivated and ready to take initiative.

This position will report to the Program Manager (Rural Development), work closely with the wider team, and will play a key role in enabling Inshakti's future growth.


Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct a need assessment survey and explore the potential of all the small business/livelihood opportunities in the area.

• Initiate and provide innovative ideas to increase the income of Women Entrepreneurs.

• Provide the Training of identified Women Entrepreneurs.

• Ensuring regular follow-up of the targeted beneficiaries.

• Effective Networking with local officers (Sarpanch, secretory, etc.) for day-to-day support.

• Development of small business.

• Developing the market linkages.

• Mobilization/Monitoring/assessment of the business activities.

• Capture and document the impact stories of the field.


Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in rural women's mobilization-based livelihood activities.

• Preferably a master’s / degree in social work but not essential.

• Experience of working with an NGO is desirable.

• Exemplary oral (local language) and written communication.

• Excellent interpersonal skills- Persuasive and self-confident.

• Strong work ethic, flexible, adaptable, and positive attitude with ability to handle multiple tasks.

• Collaborative, and resourceful with a passion for driving excellence.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google products.

• Willing to travel as per work requirement.
