Parmarth Samaj Sevi Sansthan is a grass root organization dedicated to water crisis mitigation in water stressed Bundelkhand region of UP & MP since 1996 with an aim to bring qualitative improvement and changes in lives of the vulnerable people. Parmarth’s strength is its strong community connect and its commitment for the betterment of downtrodden society. Parmarth works with various stakeholders; institutions, corporate entities, the government, local communities, and individuals to provide timely interventions in water conservation, environment protection, village development, sustainable agriculture, river rejuvenation, sanitation & waste management, women empowerment, education, and skill development.
Position Overview:
As a Documentation Officer, you will play a vital role in capturing the essence and impact of our Projects through effective documentation. Your responsibilities will include report writing, database management, collecting photographs, and crafting success stories to showcase our organization's initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Collection:
• Conduct field visits to project sites to gather relevant data, stories, and visuals.
• Engage with community members to document their experiences and perspectives.
2. Report Writing:
• Prepare detailed and insightful reports on project activities, outcomes, and impacts.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate representation of project milestones.
3. Database Management:
• Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date database of project-related documents, reports, and photographs.
• Ensure data integrity and accessibility for internal and external stakeholders.
4. Photograph Collection:
• Capture high-quality photographs during field visits that visually represent the project's activities and impact.
• Organize and categorize photographs for easy retrieval.
5. Success Story Writing:
• Identify and compile success stories from project beneficiaries and community members.
• Craft compelling narratives to showcase the positive impact of our organization's interventions.
6. Content Creation:
• Assist in the creation of engaging and informative materials, including reports, case studies, and multimedia content.
• Work closely with the Documentation Officer to develop captivating narratives.
7. Collaboration:
• Coordinate with project teams, community engagement staff, and external partners to collect diverse perspectives and insights.
• Facilitate the sharing of information between different departments for comprehensive documentation.
8. Quality Assurance:
• Ensure that all documentation adheres to organizational standards, including accuracy, clarity, and alignment with project goals.
• Conduct regular reviews and updates to keep documentation current.
9. Support Field Operations:
• Provide logistical support during field visits, ensuring that all necessary documentation tools and equipment are available.
10. Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with the organization's policies, including HR, finance, and gender policies, in the context of documentation work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in communications, journalism, social sciences, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic graphic design tools.
• Experience in report writing, database management, and success story crafting is an advantage.
