Responsibilities:

A. FUNDRAISING

  • Achieve assigned & agreed fundraising targets for the financial year
  • Create a sustainable and diverse fundraising portfolio, with funding streams including corporates & foundations, trusts and other grant-makers, in line with TRRAIN’s vision & mission
  • Carry out prospect research and develop a comprehensive fundraising database that captures all relevant information
  • Manage all administrative aspects of fundraising function for your area of operations 
  • Manage and update databases to record donor contact and preference information

B. COMMUNICATION & MARKETING

  • Continually seek new and appropriate contacts and partnerships with relevant organizations
  • Uphold and promote the ethos and philosophy of the charity
  • Support events organized by TRRAIN

C. FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT AND REPORTING

  • Report progress against fundraising targets on a regular basis
  • Ensure reporting to funders is accurate, transparent and timely.
  • Highlight deviations in compliance, audit and/or governance norms to the reporting manager

D. SUPPORT IN RESEARCH AND COMPETITIVE INTELLIGENCE FOR LIVELIHOOD PROGRAMS

  • Research the trend in fundraising initiatives and suggest innovative methods towards improvement of the function. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • A proven track record in meeting fundraising targets
  • Experience in writing proposals ? Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
  • Good interpersonal skills and relationship management
  • The ability to build strong and lasting relationships and work collaboratively across teams
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends in fundraising
  • Able to work under pressure, meeting key project and reporting deadlines
