Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and community-oriented individual to join our team as a Cluster Coordinator for the Watershed, Agriculture & WASH Project. The Cluster Coordinator will play a crucial role in interacting with communities, building rapport, and facilitating various initiatives under the supervision of respective Project Coordinators. This position involves regular field engagement and coordination with Community Resource Persons (CRPs).


Key Responsibilities:

1. Community Interaction and Rapport Building:

• Regularly interact with communities under the supervision of respective Project Coordinators.

• Build and maintain rapport with community members to foster collaboration and trust.

2. Capacity Building and Regulation:

• Regulate the key role of Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and facilitate their capacity building.

• Organize and conduct capacity building training sessions and events for community members.

3. Community-based Organizations:

• Form and support the functioning of Community-Based Organizations (CBOs).

• Conduct monthly meetings with CBOs and facilitate collective initiatives for the assertion of community rights and entitlements.

4. Training and Event Follow-up:

• Organize capacity building trainings and other events for community members.

• Follow up on training outcomes and provide support for the application of learning in community initiatives.

5. Community Mobilization:

• Mobilize communities towards the creation and revival of water bodies.

• Ensure community contribution and ownership over the created community assets.

6. Behavioural Change:

• Work towards ensuring community behavioral change for adopting water use efficiency practices.

7. Monitoring and Reporting:

• Facilitate internal and external monitoring visits by Parmarth and external visitors.

• Maintain timely and accurate project reports, documents, and Management Information System (MIS) information.

8. Adaptation of Additional Tasks:

• Undertake any other tasks assigned from time to time in accordance with the fulfilment of project objectives.

9. Policy Adherence:

• Follow the organization's HR policy, Finance Manual, and Gender Policy in your working area and project implementation.


Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Work, Rural Development, Environmental Science, Agriculture).

• Previous experience in community engagement, capacity building, and project coordination.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

• Knowledge of watershed management, agriculture, and WASH is an advantage.
