About the Project

‘Building Resilient Children for a Better World’ project aims to focus on the educational development of children and adolescents (age group 6 - 21 years) thrusting on areas of school attendance, education divide, participation in SMC and their mental health. The project covers 100 schools and 10,000 children (both in-school and out-of-school) in two blocks of Balangir district in Odisha.

Key Responsibilities

1. Rapport building with the community, parents of adolescents, school teachers, PRI members, SMC members, and other frontline workers.

2. Mobilize and sensitize people from the community, school team, students and other government stakeholders.

3. Conduct regular meetings with the SMC members and community members, and required field level events.

4. Maintaining strong relationships with the community members and other stakeholders.

5. Prepare village level micro plans for the daily implementation of project activities.

6. Identify people with the potential to coordinate with the project in the community and school and can act as cadres.

7. Implementation of project activities according to the planning done by Program Manager and Block Coordinator.

8. Coordinate with the Program Manager for the project implementation at the Gram Panchayat level and communicate any challenges on the way.

Desired profile

We are looking for candidates who have strong communication and mobilization skills, with adequate experience in working with schools and communities. We are looking for a highly motivated, strategic, go-getter, and quality-conscious professional who have a Post Graduate (MSW, MA Sociology, MBA, other relevant stream) with 2 to 3 years proven experience of social work.

Remuneration

Rs. 25,000/- along with benefits.
