Parmarth Samaj Sevi Sansthan is a grass root organization dedicated to water crisis mitigation in water stressed Bundelkhand region of UP & MP since 1996 with an aim to bring qualitative improvement and changes in lives of the vulnerable people. Parmarth’s strength is its strong community connect and its commitment for the betterment of downtrodden society. Parmarth works with various stakeholders; institutions, corporate entities, the government, local communities, and individuals to provide timely interventions in water conservation, environment protection, village development, sustainable agriculture, river rejuvenation, sanitation & waste management, women empowerment, education, and skill development.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator for the Watershed, Agriculture & WASH related Project. The Project Coordinator will play a pivotal role in facilitating project processes, ensuring community participation, and building the capacity of project teams and community members. This position reports to the Project Manager and Program Director.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Implementation:

• Facilitate processes to achieve project objectives through identified interventions and strategies under the supervision of the Project Manager and Program Director.

• Ensure the effective implementation of project activities, adhering to timelines and quality standards.

2. Capacity Building:

• Build the capacity of project teams and community members on various project aspects.

• Regulate the key role of Community Resource Persons (CRPs) and facilitate their capacity building.

3. Community Engagement:

• Ensure community level participation in project planning, implementation, and monitoring.

• Facilitate community mobilization towards water conservation, protection, and management.

4. Behavioural Change:

• Work towards ensuring community behavioural change for adopting water use efficiency practices.

5. Stakeholder Relations:

• Regularly interact with panchayat and district officials, fostering cooperation in project implementation.

• Liaise with government officials, local organizations, and other bodies through lobbying and advocacy to mobilize resources for project scale-up.

6. Monitoring and Reporting:

• Facilitate internal and external monitoring visits, ensuring compliance with project goals.

• Undertake regular field visits to project villages for qualitative monitoring and review processes.

7. Team Management:

• Manage the project implementation team, providing leadership support and fostering a collaborative work environment.

8. Coordination and Reporting:

• Ensure monthly coordination and reporting with the Project Manager and Program Director.

• Prepare timely and quality monthly plans, progress reports, and utilization reports.

9. Financial Tracking:

• Maintain the project's physical and financial tracking on a monthly basis, coordinating with the finance team.

10. Policy Adherence:

• Follow the organization's HR policy, Finance Manual, and Gender Policy in your working area and project implementation.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Agriculture, Rural Development Studies).

• Min 03 year of experience in project coordination & Implementation, community engagement, and capacity building.

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and multicultural setting.

• Knowledge of watershed management, agriculture, and WASH is desirable.
