Job Title: Programme Coordinator - Renewable Energy Initiatives

Location: Tilonia

Compensation: Rs 25,000 - Rs 35,000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

Barefoot College is seeking a dedicated and motivated Programme Coordinator to lead renewable energy initiatives, focusing on off-grid or unreliably connected areas. The Program Coordinator will play a pivotal role in project planning, execution, and deployment of decentralised renewable energy solutions to improve well-being and livelihoods. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solar energy projects, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external ground partners.

Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement, and monitor renewable energy initiatives in collaboration with various stakeholders.

- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for ongoing and future projects

- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely and effective execution of renewable energy programs.

- Draft grant proposals, award applications, etc. to seek funding for projects

- Prepare and share comprehensive reports on project progress, learnings, and outcomes.

- Ensure proper archiving and dissemination of project-related information.

- Ensure reporting timelines are met for various projects, sharing insights and learnings.

- Implement robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track the impact of health initiatives.

- Regularly analyse data to assess the effectiveness of programs and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

- Facilitate community engagement and participation in renewable energy programs, ensuring a bottom-up approach that respects local cultures and values.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with community leaders, partners, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in management, engineering, development studies or a related field.

- Proven experience of 2-3 years in managing renewable energy programmes, with a focus on solar.

- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and monitoring.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and communities.

- Understanding and respect for cultural nuances and community dynamics.

- Commitment to the principles of empowerment, sustainability, and community-led development.

- Proficiency in English and Hindi; Written and oral
