Associate OBR Coordinator

One Billion Rising Campaign 2023- 2024


Jagori Rural is looking for a young woman/trans person as Associate OBR coordinator for the International One Billion Rising Campaign.

The person should have commitment to the issues of Violence against women and girls and all other forms of exploitation. The position primarily requires multimedia communication, designing and documentation skills, networking and follow up with partner organizations. The selected candidate will work with the India OBR Campaign Coordinator at the OBR Secretariat at Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Consolidated monthly honorarium is in accordance to the work experience.

Since social media, communication and creative designing is the core requirement, only those with such skills and commitment to gender justice should apply.


Job description:

  • Maintain communication, alliances and building a national communication strategy and system.
  • Build and maintain a data base of partner organizations for the OBR national campaign
  • Provide support to the coordinator wherever needed.
  • Maintain reports and archives of each activity and maintain a data base of events and qualitative and quantitative data attended.
  • Production of the OBR related multimedia material, including newsletter, banners, posters, radio programme, films etc. and ensuring distribution of campaign material as the requirements of the states.
  • Regular sharing of reports with National Coordinator located at Sidhbari rakkar.
  • Network with NGOs, media, Colleges and other educational institutions and Government departments
  • Submit monthly narrative reports.

Our outreach programs cover a population of 20000 people in these villages.
