Job Description

Key Responsibilities:


Team Leadership:


Lead and motivate the optical sales team to achieve sales targets and provide excellent customer service.

Conduct regular team meetings to discuss sales strategies, product knowledge, and address any challenges.

Sales Management:


Oversee day-to-day sales operations in the optical department.

Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.

Customer Service:


Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing personalized and professional service.

Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.

Inventory Management:


Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize product shortages.

Coordinate with suppliers to maintain a diverse and up-to-date product inventory.

Training and Development:


Train new optical sales staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service standards.

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team to enhance their skills.

Quality Assurance:


Ensure that all products meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

Implement and maintain quality control measures in the optical department.

The undulating mountainous terrains of North Bengal covered with lush green tea bushes and hard to reach hamlets have a huge population vulnerable to visual impairment owing to a lack of basic eye-care facilities. ?Understanding that in a developing country like India the government alone cannot meet the health care demands of the aspiring population hence to facilitate the outcome few socially conscious members of Lions Club of Siliguri Greater dreamt of an Eye Care Institute to serve the people of Eastern India, and hence Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital was envisaged in 1981. In the past three decades, the organization’s approach has undergone a sea change. Different sub-specialties have been added from time to time according to the requirement of the community.
