Location: Mumbai with extensive travel to Aurangabad

CEHAT is looking for a dynamic senior to middle level researcher for implementation research on scaling up a health systems’ response to violence against women in primary healthcare settings. This is an opportunity for the candidates who are keen to seek a career in the field of violence and health and have a keen interest in social science research. The 4-year project is in Aurangabad, Maharashtra and is in collaboration with George Washington University, WHO and Masum, Pune.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead a field-based team to implement research activities of the project
• To actively participate in development of research tools, piloting, data collection and analysis.
• Build capacity of field team to collect and enter data as well as develop mechanisms for checking data quality
• To develop and implement a framework for documentation and routine monitoring of activities of project

Qualifications and Experience:

• Postgraduate in medicine, public health, social work, social sciences or in a related field with a strong perspective on the issue of violence against women and research skills
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the arena of social science research
• Proven skills in research (quantitative and qualitative) & documentation as well as team management
