About the Project: PwD Counselling and Rehabilitation Centre

This project has been established with the aim to foster independence in the residents as far as possible through different interventional strategies like Cognitive Rehabilitation, Social Skills Training, Life Skills Training and Prevocational Training in order to enhance performance in activities of daily living. In addition overall of quality of life of all residents is monitored and ensured by addressing their physical and mental health concerns and providing appropriate interventions and referrals for medical concerns. We have been achieving this through an interdisciplinary approach which involves the participation of various professionals such as Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist, Special Educator, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist and Computer/Vocational Skills Trainer.


Position-Title Occupational Therapist


Purpose To manage the day to day Occupational Therapies to residents and progress assessment.


Location Near Fortis Escort Hospital, New Delhi.


Reporting to Deputy Manager (HR & Programmes).


Experience 2 and above years’ experience in Clinical Psychology.

Date of Joining Immediate.


Qualifications and Skills:

•M.A. in Occupational Therapy with RCI Registration.

•Experience of dealing with differently abled cases .

•Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, strong written and oral communication skills.

•Ability to write and speak fluently in English and Hindi languages.

•Ability to carry out tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and timel manner assigned by the Management.

•Track record of being a team player, high integrity, ability to deal with multiple task, flexibility and timely completion of challenging task.

•Patience in listening to problems faced by the staff members and beneficiaries.

•Proven problem solving skills with solutions-oriented approach.

•Understanding of and commitment to adhere to equity and wellbeing principles.


Roles and responsibilities:

•Organizing Occupational Therapy session for all the residents as per their assessment findings.

•Supporting the internal quality system through maintaining office systems and procedures

•Assisting in the organization of, and attending as required, meetings and events such as conferences and forums, and other meetings of members
