Usha Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd invites application for the following post:


1) Account and Admin Officer (01 Post)


Location-Kolkata

Qualification and essential requirements: Must have post graduate degree for accounting or finance with at least six years of work experience in accounting and financial management in the NGO sector or similar settings. Working knowledge of Tally ERP. Must have prior expertise in analysing data in order to offer financial and project planning suggestions, sound Knowledge of Excel for data analysis, Strong commitment to teamwork, collaboration, consensus building and negotiation, Fluent in English and Hindi and/or in the regional language where the program is being implemented.. The candidate must have adequate computer knowledge. The remuneration is consolidated Rs. 32400/- per month.


The key responsibilities of the position are as follows:

? The Accounts and Admin Officer is responsible for maintaining the books of accounts and other such financial management and compliance related requirements at their respective State/region. ? Responsible for providing handholding support to CBO in respective areas of financial management. ? Ensure funds are disbursed as per the agreement and on time. ? Work closely with the program team to ensure that donor contractual obligations and project deliverables are passed onto and met by the partner organizations. ? Responsible for managing the routine accounting work related to KP grant program? Responsible for managing the payment of incentives to field-level staff adhering to contractual terms and based on receipt of required documents. ? Support in signing grant agreements with CBO/SSR and design/maintain systems and responsible for the timely renewals, amendments, closeouts, etc. of various sub-grants in accordance with contractual obligations and Alliance India regulations. ? In collaboration with the Program Manager, develop budgets and regular reports to Alliance India, support grants disbursement and audit. ? Regularly monitor the financial performance of SSR/CBO, including monitoring of spending under sub[1]grants. ? Provide feedback on the financial reports prepared by the SSRs/CBOs. ? Ensure compliance of SSRs partners with local legislation, internal Alliance India requirements, and donor regulations and policies. ? Regularly assess SSR financial record keeping and internal control systems. ? Identify the areas where the SSRs/CBOs require support and provide specific technical support on financial management, internal control systems, budgeting, sub-grants management, etc., to ensure effective program implementation. ? Install and support, where necessary, computerized financial accounting systems in SSRs/CBOs. ? Maintain daily records of cash receipts and disbursements, including preparation of receipt payments and general journal vouchers. ? Recording of all transactions in a computer-based accounting system (Tally) in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices and ensuring proper documentation of all transactions; and maintaining files of all supporting documentation for accounting entries. ? Ensure timely payment of payment requests from vendors, partner organisations, field-level team members, etc., in connection with all programme-related activities. ? Overall responsible for the SR's monthly bank reconciliation and advance settlement. ? Ensure timely deduction of various taxes and timely deposit with the Government authorities. ? Ensure the systematic maintenance and storage of records and review of vouchers. ? The AAO will handle all requirements for managing human resources and routine administrative[1]related matters? Support the team in routine administrative-related matters at the office level. ? Maintain HR records, stock and asset register, and attendance register for the staff in proper documentation. ? Ensure regular coordination with the Project Coordinator and community workers. ? End-to-end logistics management of travel, events, and camps for the program team essential requirements:
