Sambandh staff provide supports to persons living with mental illness • In their homes • In a Recovery based Day Program in the Sambandh Community Integration Centre • In outings and leisure activities on weekends (Saturdays) • In mental health awareness programs, in villages, schools and the community. • In any new programs that we start in the future by building strong therapeutic alliances. The work is carried out collaboratively with families and any community partners, including the psychiatrist.. The key activities are getting to know the person with mental illness from a strengths perspective, valuing their perspectives with the goals of supporting community integration. This position also involves working with families to help them understand Recovery, so they in turn can support community integration. Graduate/Post Graduate degree in psychology, social work, or related field, preferably with 2 years related experience working with people living with mental illness and their families.
