Organization Details

  • Organization Name:Prakash Jayantilal Chauhan Foundation
  • About Organization:While working closely with farmers for procurement of raw materials for Parle Agro, a specific problem faced by them was brought forward to the foundation. Mothers, female farmers and other labourers with children between 0-6 years of age did not have a safe place to keep the children while they continued working in the fields. Prakash Jayantilal Chauhan Foundation decided to work towards finding solutions that could ensure safe spaces for children to thrive in. While anganwadis seemed like a solution to address the problem, several anganwadis were in a dilapidated state and their conditions were not suitable for these families. To create a thriving environment, PJC Foundation started reviving anganwadis in Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu and Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. Realizing the impact it was creating within these two states, PJC Foundation decided to take it nationwide.
