Shield Foundation represents “Society for Health, Innovation, Education, and Liaisons Development.” Centred in Dharavi (Asia’s largest slum) in Mumbai, India, the Shield Foundation is focused on developing and delivering educational, medical, recreational, vocational and nutritional services to disadvantaged populations. It is a registered social welfare organization serving low-income communities in Mumbai. Centred in Dharavi (Asia’s largest slum), SHIELD Foundation is focused on providing holistic care for the elderly, offering free medical services, counselling, and health education.

Designation: Centre Manager

Minimum Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience

Both Male and Female Candidates are eligible

Centre Manager/ Project Co-Ordinator: Reports to HR Manager and Founder

1. Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures

2. Responsible for planning, program design, and to ensure its proper implementation at the field level

3. Monitoring visits to field and to provide technical support to field staff

4. Submission of weekly, monthly and quarterly report to the Founder

5. Providing day to day guidance to project staff

6. Providing guidance for the field level activities and facilitate staff for implementation and issues resolution

7. Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings

8. Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings

9. Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings

10. Ensuring project deadlines are met

11. Providing administrative support as needed

12. Developing project strategies and Undertaking project tasks as required

13. Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project

14. Supervise monitoring team for conducting baseline survey, end line survey and ensure proper data entries

15. Approaching CSR for more funding opportunities

16. Advanced knowledge of MS products, particularly Excel

17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• About Organization:Shield Foundation started working with their mission since 2009. The organization was then registered in 2010. Since the beginning, our organization started working on various community issues. The need assessment survey of community was done in 2010. Based on the findings, we have chosen to work for senior citizens at Dharavi. The 'resource centre' was initiated for them. Additionally, various need based services are available for the senior citizens there. In the early years, we had the capacity to cater to only 250 elderly, whereas, now we have developed our capacity to provide services for around 2500 elderly per year. One of our major and most consistent aim is to provide physical and mental health care for senior citizens. We have networked with more than 50 organizations and corporate to reach our mission.
