About Maval Dairy Farmers Services Producer Company:

With the support of Tata Power Community Development Trust, Access Livelihoods incubated Maval Dairy Farmers Services Producer Company Limited (MDFSPCL) in Maval (Pune) in 2019 in partnership with 1500+ livestock rearers. MDFSPCL aims to enable marginalised women to undertake dairy business with a commercial approach. The company seeks to achieve this objective through adequate knowledge dissemination, awareness generation, long-term capacity building, and intervention of affordable technology in dairy farming. The company also undertakes sophisticated marketing activities to provide market linkages to its members and assists them in branding dairy products. MDFSPCL has established a milk producing plant that can process 10,000 litres of milk per day. The plant was officially launched in 2019 and is located in the Indrayani Industrial Co-operative estate area.

Location: Takwe, Maval Taluka, Pune District Maharashtra

  1. Manage overall dairy business.
  2. Should be able to do business projections.
  3. Oversee identification of new procurement centres.
  4. Ensure quality milk procurement.
  5. Oversee the overall plant management.
  6. Ensure production of milk and milk products of highest standards.
  7. Oversee marketing and sales of milk and milk products.
  8. Oversee identification of new markets.
  9. Raise local finances.
  10. Manage member relations.
  11. Train and develop capacities of producers, board of directors and staff.
  12. Responsible for increase in sales and profitability of the dairy.
  13. Link producer company to academic institutions, market institutions, government institutions for access to information, resources and technologies.
  14. Establish systems to ensure transparency and accountability including financial, MIS, legal, marketing and cutting-edge technological solutions.
  15. Must have excellent numbering skills, must be comfortable with Excel, Power Point and Word.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification: Masters in Agri-Business/Rural Management; B-Tech in Dairy Technology.

Experience: 10 years of experience in dairy industry preferably in managing 10-20 KL/day dairy

Language: English, Hindi, and Marathi (preferable)

?Preference will be given to women candidates.
