Subject Area: Early Childhood Education and FLN

Locations: Mumbai (Maharashtra)

Language Skills: Marathi, Hindi, English

Reports to: Program Head - Content and Curriculum

Key Responsibilities

Content Development

Provide support in content and curriculum development for all programs specifically for foundational years and early learning for age group of (3-6 and 6 -8 years)

• Develop high quality content and educational frameworks aligned to national policies and curriculum frameworks

• Develop educational content and materials for children, parents/caregivers, educators, community.

• Work closely with program team to oversee content delivery.

• Organize content workshops and work closely with the creative team to design the content.

• Develop assessment tools for children and AWWs, checklists for monitoring for ECCE projects etc.

• Supervise a team content and curriculum specialists to deliver on project goals.

Needs Assessment and Research Study

• Design appropriate research and tools to evaluate content efficacy

• Manage all formative research in collaboration with the content, program and other teams.

• Work with research agency to develop research design, tools and data analysis as well as report writing.

Capacity Building Training:

• Develop training modules and manuals for identified target audience.

• Conduct training AWWs/Master trainers/teachers on content/curricula as per project requirements

• Conduct training workshops to build the capacity of field staff and others to ensure impactful content delivery at the programmatic level.

• Train external master trainers, develop SOW, as required

This job requires travel to program areas for formative testing, training and evaluation

Qualifications, skills

• Subject knowledge in foundational learning and ECCE

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MIS or other database management systems

• Strong writing skills especially in preparing reports, and presentations

• Excellent interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills in English.

• Creative thinker and problem solver.

Essential requirements and experience:

• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in childhood studies, early childhood education, child development or related fields

• Prior experience working with young children (3-6, 6-8 years) with solid knowledge of their developmental milestones

• Min 5 + years of experience in content development for young children, including development of curriculum and educational frameworks

Remuneration: Commensurate with experience

• The incumbent will be paid on the basis of experience and capacity to deliver for the above said engagement.
