Job Description

South Kolkata Hamari Muskan (henceforth SKHM) is a non profit, non government organisation working in two red light areas in Kolkata, West Bengal. The aim of SKHM is to stop Second Generation prostitution and also provide alternative livelihood support to the women to step back from prostitution and live an alternative and dignified life. Presently, SKHM is working in Bowbazar and Sonagacchi red light areas focusing on education, nutrition, alternative livelihood and mental health support for children, youth, women and men.


Under the alternative livelihood programme, SKHM provide tailoring training for women and for interested men so that they can learn tailoring and start their alternative start ups. To execute this training, SKHM seeks an expert for conduct trainings for women and men on tailoring, stitching and in related activities. The applicant should come to Bowbazar for providing the training if selected.


The consultant will be expected to have aesthetics, patience to deal with the community beneficiaries. The consultant trainer will have to attend 4-6 days a week to train the trainees.
