• Gain a thorough knowledge of children and Housemothers • Support and mentor care giving staff • Undertake counselling of the children • Ensure that program activities are carried out in a timely manner and with attention to the quality • Enhance relationships between all staff and children through team building, mediation etc. • Maintain case file, medical file, education file of all the children, update them and prepare reports. • Establish linkages with local service providers and agencies • Supervise the activities for the educational & health requirements of the children • • Analyse and appraise the program activities for congruence with the Rights of the Child • Donor communication • Organize recreational activities for children. • Form and facilitate children’s committees • • Adhere to Organization’s Child Protection Policy • Any other task assigned by NGO Management
• Master’s degree in social work / Psychology or related field • Expertise in child development, child psychology, &/or out-of- home care • At least 3-5 years professional experience

• Advanced counselling skills • High level of analytical & conceptual thinking • Basic computer skills, knowledge of MS word, Excel, internet • Ability to multi task • Highly motivated, responsible, self-directed and resourceful • Understanding of living in institutional care Language Requirements: • Fluency in spoken English and local language • Excellent written English skills
